You don’t have to be a statistician to see a change in society during the last few years. Social and news media have become an almost constant barrage of hate. The result has been division. We are more divided as a society than ever.
The Temple was destroyed for one reason; Baseless hatred. Hashem gave us the Torah specifically as a instruction manual to teach us humanity. When there should have been unity there was contention. Did Hashem mirror our behavior? The result was not only the destruction of the Temple but the dispersion and division of the nation of Israel
Fast forward….As as people continue to publicly spew hatred, anger at others the result is division. Another word for division is separation.
Ironically, due to the Corona virus at the time of this writing we are all separated, even from the very ones we love….
Interestingly the Hebrew language has no word for coincidence.
